Our Policy

Detention policy

Student found in this situation will be given in school detention or otherwise work detail detentions.  In certain cases or situations students may be assigned a Saturday detention time.  It is important to note that all Saturday detentions will include a supervision fee of P100.

Expulsion policy

When a student behavior and conduct deteriorate to the level where expulsion is considered, parents will be afforded the opportunity to make a choice between voluntary withdraw of the student or opt for a scheduled disciplinary hearing.  If the parents option is for a hearing it will be held within 5 school days.  The student deserves the right to bring along witnesses to speak on his or her behalf.  In this situation, the school may bring witness to speak on why expulsion is being considered.  The school director will chair the hearing and the board of directors two (2) departments heads/senior teachers and two (2) DDA parents (No relations with student) will make up the hearing committee at that time. The decision of the committee after hearing and having considered all witness’s responses will be deemed final.

It is important to note that there will be no refund of school fees to a student who has been expelled or withdrawn based on disciplinary grounds and reasons.

School homework policy

At DDA, student’s successful completion of assigned homework is very vital and important to academic excellence and success being an Icon of excellence learning institution.   Therefore in every situation school homework will always be required as assigned.  When the student is given homework book and parents are required to sign to indicate that they have seen it and are certain that the child has actually completed the given assignment.  It is important to note that parent or recognized guardian may assist a student with his/her homework but must not do it for the child.  Parents or recognized guardian’s signature is a required part of the homework.  If the student fails to complete the homework and the homework is not signed this will result in lowering the homework marks which affects the final academic average.

Communication book will also be provided to grade 1 – 6 and must be kept in the child’s bag at all times for easier communication between the teacher and the parent/guardian.  Appointments may be made by teachers concerning the child’s progress at any time during the year.  Parents are encouraged to do likewise.  A lost homework diary must be replaced at a cost of P50.
